over many others.

...............in choosing your goal in life make sure the choice is not just any goal, not just any proffesion, not just any carreer. You must have a very strong reason or motivation why you preffer this course over that one. Sometimes the choice becomes complicated special if you are a person with many talents. But when this happens let your good motives and personal desire be a decisive factor to zero in one carreer first - which when attained will bring you fullfillment, abundance and most of all personal happiness.

But remember without the basic rules, you cannot be an expert.

Thereis enough land and sea around you. Then comes then the textile industry. And of course engineering. All these revolve around the basic needs of man - food, clothing and shelter. As long as man is a man there is no end to these basic industries. And so with the accompanying proffession.

................ Nutrition is a must in developing society. It is said that a personis what he
eats. Your diet affects your status in your community. People who eat more protein in
their diet have better thought-output than those whose daily menu is more
vegetables . We need to educate our people not only on what to eat -- but also on the right eating habits.

* MANAGEMENT ----- A CRYING NEED *

....................................WE, need men whose talent is to organize and work with other people in order to accomplished objectives. These are the men who make things happen, the men and women who obtain results.

* MUSIC AND THE ARTS *

..................................there must be a music and the arts, a must to provide the humanist dimension to whatever material or technological progress we gain in other fields. People will learn to appreciate our great musicians and artist. We must learn to patronize their works.

* STEPS ON HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR GOAL *

...................... bUT how do you choose your goal? How do you arrive at a decision as to which course to take, what career to pursue or what business to put up? Certainly there are basic techniques to follow :

a. SELF- ANALYSIS :
= The first step is SELF-Analysis. Find out your natural abilities, talents, skills do this by taking an apptitude tests. Take into account even your work experiences. As you go along, you will notice a general pattern towards your overall inclination. You excel most in the activities you like best. And these activities wherein excel could be your goal indicators leading to your final choice.

b. SEEK ADVICE FROM PEOPLE WHO CAN HELP YOU
= In case the choice of a career is not an easy one for you,try to narrow down your choices to one or two. Then go seek advice from those who are truly concerned about you.
= IF a TEENAGER, seek advice from your parents or from the older members of the family. Present your case before the family council. Let them know your personal preferences.
= if MARRIED, seek from your wife and even from your grow uo children. This should be a time for open discussions. Listen to their personal evaluations regarding your intended career.
= if CLOSEFRIENDS, ask them "What do you think are my chances are if i pursue....?" Find out or from those who are already successful in the field. Seek their proffessional advice about the present and about the future of your intended career. INterview them. ASK them --- how did they make it to the top ? What are the usual pitfalls? Getting these successful people to sit down with you may sound difficult, but with proper timing and approach, you will find them very helpful and very accomodating.

c. SEEK GOD'S ADVICE IN PRAYER
--- Before you make your final decision, go to your God in prayer. It's unfortunate many don't think of this making major decisions in life. To them God seems to be very far and utterly unconcerned about their welfare. Making a decision is a vey important step to success.


d. NOW YOU MUST MAKE A FINAL DECISION
--- now you have a big decision to make. In one big, bold stroke -- at last ! ...you will be headed towards a bright future! Certainly you take intoaccount the evaluations of your family, your closefriends and those successful in the field. but the FINAL DECISION IS YOURS !Right now your future is in your minds. Don't be afraid to decide. If your decision happens to be the same as theirs -- fine!

if STUDENT ----- tell your parents positively and convincingly that this is the course you like because..... then cite all your reasons. Do a little PR and salesmanship. Explain to them that to take another course would be a waste of time effort and family resources. And this final decision should be respected by the parents and other member of the family.
if MARRIED ----- explain patiently and lovingly to your wife and to your children why and how you arrived at your decision.Never allow any room for doubts in their minds as to the wisdom of your decision. Let them know that fromon that's the direction your family will go. And you expect their full cooperation.
BUT, be TRULY SURE..... that you make the right decision. And stick to your decision. WHY ? -because from now on-- you will channel all your time, money activities and other personal resources to the attainment of that one over-all goal. It's not a case of " strike anywhere" now. But your life from now on will swing and forge ahead towards a given direction.

e. INTERNALIZE YOUR GOAL
= NOW, you have your goal. YOU have your ambition. Let that special goal sink deep into your mind. Internalize or concretize that goal. Try if you can to picture yourself as if " YOU already have it " or " you're already there". THINK and PLAN...more about it. Meditate more and more about it. Until, it becomes a part of you,until it becomes a burning desire. AND it should be a real CHALLENGE to ACCOMPLISH in your life. PLANNING to your goal, THINKING and WORKING for it --- should be life itself to you. It is....SECURITY..., FULLFILLMENT...and HAPPINESS.


f. YOU MUST BE PRACTICAL
= A rational approach to your day to day life is a healthy idealism.
AND MOST IMPORTANT THING ;
--- is to identify at the start-- what is your overall goal in life? What is it you want to become? Where will you go from where you are right now? which way?

REMEMBER THE SAYING :

" What you think you will be, you become " and " The world
knows how to step aside to a man who knows where he is going ".
ONCE, you pinpoint your ambition, the succeeding steps will almost naturally follow. That is guarenteed. But you have to know what these succeeding steps are.
